This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, your rights about and options concerning our use of your data, how your data is processed and with whom it may be shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.mariawilliams.com (the “Site”). 2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations etc). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

5. DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident and have provide us with personal data on our websites or other channels, this is done on an entirely voluntary basis. If you choose not to provide the requested information, various customer benefits may not be available to you. In certain cases, only those who have submitted to us the required personal data are able to order products, use certain services and in other ways avail themselves of the activities and offers available on our Site. It is possible to unsubscribe from services or delete user accounts or to receive information about the data held.

If any of the information that you have provided us with has changed, e.g. if you change your email address or other contact details, or if you wish to cancel your registration with us, please let us know by sending an email outlining the changes.

6.1. The right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. In order to do that we will need to verify the identity of the requester (that is, the requester is not asking to erase someone else’s personal data) and confirm there is no legal reason to preserve this data. If erasing information is impossible, we will disclaim to what degree and why this is the case. Personal data cannot be erased while it is associated with a pending order or made fewer than 180 days before the request.

6.2. The right to restrict the processing of your personal data in special circumstances.

6.3. The right to receive your personal data (concerning you only) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (“data portability”) and have the right to transit this data to another data controller.

6.4. The right to object to the processing of your personal data and to unsubscribe when processing is based on a legitimate interest pursued by Maria Williams Ltd, e.g. for marketing purposes. We will inform you in this privacy policy if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Emails sent to you by us containing newsletter or marketing content will include the option to unsubscribe by following the instructions set out in the email. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, you can simply click on the unsubscribe hyperlink and we will stop sending you emails. For all other types of messages you may receive from us, such as maintenance announcements or administrational notifications, the receipt of such can only be terminated by deleting your account. These messages are a mandatory part of user accounts and the related use of our Site. Contact us to delete your account.

6.5. The right to withdraw your consent at any time to our processing of your personal data. The withdrawal of consent shall, however, not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Should we have misgivings regarding your identity, we may ask you to provide identification.

6.6. There may be conditions to or limitations on your aforementioned rights. We are therefore unable to guarantee your right to data portability, as it is dependent on the specific circumstances of the processing activity. Data might be provided in common formats such as Excel or CSV.

7. WHY DO WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.

Our legitimate interest is based on your preferences so that we can better customise our offerings to you - and ultimately offer products and services that better meet your needs and wishes. 8. DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

9. DATA INTEGRITY AND SECURITY

Maria Williams Ltd as data controller determines for what purposes and how personal data is processed. Shopify is the processor of the personal data on our behalf. In order to comply with current GDPR regulations, the processor may only process personal data when authorised to do so by the controller, as well as conduct data protection impact assessments, monitor and report any personal data breach and have appointed a Data Protection Officer that can be reached at privacy@shopify.com.

9.1. We may employ third parties to collect personal information on its behalf. In such cases, these third parties will be subject to confidentiality and data processing agreements and will be instructed by us to comply fully with our Privacy Policy.

Where we have provided you with, or where you have chosen, a password that enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for ensuring this password remains confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, transmission of information via the Internet is not wholly secure. Although we do our utmost to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is done so at your own risk.
